Granted I don't actively read up on anime news (I just watch whatever comes), but this has to be one of the most exciting bit of news in recent memory. While I harped on KG back who knows when about how the 2nd half of the show kinda fell apart, it without a doubt had some very attractive character designs courtesy of Megumi Kadonosono. Actually it's kind nice they revived the series after letting a few years pass else I probably wouldn't be half as excited (even good shows need time to breath *cough* Aria, H&C2). Now if someone would start on Uta-Kata 2 or at least bring the original over to R1.
Meanwhile, as break starts edging near closure, I've been on a Super GALS! watching spree. I picked up the thin-pack of season one a few days ago with the impending thin-pack release of season two and have blazed through four of five discs. It holds up very well with what I remember (having only watched 10 EPs or so back when it broadcasted), but certainly there are a few later episodes that are duds IMO, mainly ones that stray away from the core-group of characters (ie kendo girl, disciple). As usual, and thankfully there are very few scenes, the para-para "dancing" is always a joke (did it survive to this day?), but I'm all for the little eyecatches that are scattered about everywhere. My top two has to be Yuuya panicking and the junior detectives eyecatches (I guess monkey black would be a near third).
